Persistent pain is the type of pain that does not get better with typical medical treatment. It can take over your life and prevent you from doing what you want and need to do.
Previously, we thought that opioids were the best way to treat persistent pain. We now know that our thoughts and actions affect how well we recover from pain -- and that changing these things is the most effective treatment (Adapted from Rethinking Pain).
The Tri-County Opioid Safety Coalition is committed to promoting education, resources, healthy behavior, and policies that improve the quality of life for people living with persistent pain.
Together, we can change pain.
