Presentations and Trainings
Washington County is fortunate to have a senior communication and education specialist on staff who is available to give free presentations and trainings on a variety of mental health and addictions topics.
- He provides education to groups and organizations in Washington County through on-site presentations. He discusses addictions, the role the brain plays, the decision-making process, and the relationship substance use has with mental health and suicide. He can provide information on treatment and prevention resources throughout Washington County and the state.
- He is available to present on disordered gambling.
- He is a trainer for QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) and ASIST (another suicide prevention training). He is also a Mental Health First Aid trainer. Requests for these trainings need to be made through www.GetTrainedtoHelp.com.
